The latest on the Amazon Tablet!
Almost as soon as the Amazon tablet rumors began making the rounds, we heard Amazon planned on releasing more than one device. We originally heard there would be two tablets: Coyote, it’s cheaper, entry-level device, and Hollywood, the more iPad-like rival. Since then, there hasn’t been much talk of an Amazon-Android ecosystem. But the Digitimes report that first connected Amazon’s hardware unit orders to its tablet plans revealed more than just a possible product launch: The report shows that Amazon has ordered 10.1-inch tablets from Foxconn (for 2012) and 7-inch tablets from Quanta. And there have also been reports Amazon is readying a 9-inch tablet.
How many will we see in October, though? The orders make it sound as if Amazon would launch two before the holiday shopping season and one after, but that ball is still entirely up in the air.
What will Amazon’s tablet(s) look like?
We know they all will be Android-based, for starters. If the multiple-tablet rumors are true, the 7-inch “Coyote” tablet will run on Nvidia’s dual-core Tegra 2 chip. The 9-inch, “Hollywood,” unit would possibly use Nvidia’s dual-core Tegra 2 chip, although we’ve heard it will be based on the quad-core Kal-El chip.
It’s also been said the tablet won’t have a camera, and we’re uncertain whether this applies to all the devices or maybe just the 7-inch. Forbes says at least one tablet is believed to have a camera lens manufactured by Newmax Technology, which creates lens units for a slew of electronics.
Then there is the 10-inch tablet, which we assume would also use the Kal-El chip. Of course, the existence of this device hinges on little more than hardware orders, so it remains something of a mystery. All will likely run Honeycomb 3.1. As far as software goes, we expect the Amazon app store will be preinstalled, as well as its own custom UI layer over the Android interface. Given the success of the Kindle, we imagine there will be a preinstalled Kindle app as well.
Pricing? This is entirely unknown: There have been no rumors or hints of any kind as to how much the tablet(s) will cost, but we’d wager less than the iPad. This means it will have to skimp on certain iPad features – like the camera, as well as memory most likely.

Color E-Ink for the New Amazon Tablet?
With all the speculation of what new features the new Amazon Tablet might bring, here are a few realistic options. E-ink has released a color display called the Triton display. This display is similar to what is currently in the kindle, what it offers is the ability for a faster refresh time and color. Although the colors are not rich in what you might see in an Apple Ipad they still are very visible and a good edition to an outdoor tablet. The kindle also does not currently use a powerful controller or chip which makes it very slow and mostly only suitable to read ebooks.
Mirasol displays are another big potential screen of the new Amazon Tablets. These screens seem to offer much more color than the E-Ink Triton displays but offer a much more fluid experience. You would be able to play games and do whatever else you could do on a tablet. This screen offers the benefit of being readable inside and out and is apparently much easier on the eyes compared to traditional lcd displays found in almost every tablet.
Please keep in mind the displays in the videos are run by very weak processors something the Amazon tablet will not be doing. Amazon part manufacturers have already announced quad core ships to be used for the tablets so expect very powerful tablets with great screens!

Amazon takes on Apple
Amazon is gearing up for a large shipment of their tablet product, 1.2 million tablets to be exact. The scale of this is huge as Apple is the only company to have tablets in such a huge quantity. They have also announced that the tablets will be quad core which is a huge powerhouse compared to the apple ipad or other tablets on the market. It will have the power of a desktop pc while retaining a small size. Sources have also noted that it will be running a variant of the android operating system so you should expect to see many more apps for the marketplace. You can expect all of your favorite apps such as skype, teamviewer and numerous games to be available on the new amazon kindle.

Free streaming movies to amazon tablet customers?
With the competition of the Apple Ipad and the success of itunes you would expect the same from the Amazon tablet. Well that is certainly happening with an extra kick. According to sources the new tablet will include a special introductory period of unlimited free movie downloads, think shopping spree at itunes! This information also says a lot about the screen quality of the new soon to be Amazon device which is capable of playing these high quality streams with a screen display which is outdoor friendly, unlike the Ipad which looks like a mirror when you take it into the sun. More later on what type of screen exactly will be included on the nifty little device!
Amazon announces TABLET launch!

During a recent interview with CEO of Amazon Jeff Bezos he went on to speak of the future of amazon technology. As you might already know the Amazon kindle was a big hit with its E-ink screen technology perfect for long reading. What has plaqued the kindle was the slow page turns and basically the slow technology surrounding the little device. Amazon expects to be releasing a tablet with the fastest of technology early fall or late summer. What is so exciting about this release is that it will include some of the latest technology not seen on any other consumer tablets.
