Amazon takes on Apple

Amazon is gearing up for a large shipment of their tablet product, 1.2 million tablets to be exact. The scale of this is huge as Apple is the only company to have tablets in such a huge quantity. They have also announced that the tablets will be quad core which is a huge powerhouse compared to the apple ipad or other tablets on the market. It will have the power of a desktop pc while retaining a small size. Sources have also noted that it will be running a variant of the android operating system so you should expect to see many more apps for the marketplace.
